Why Zar Pure honey

Finding genuinely pure honey — khalis shahad — in Pakistan is hard. Most of what is sold as natural honey is thinned with sugar syrup, heated until it looks clear, or filtered until the pollen is gone. We keep our own hives in Hunza, harvest the comb ourselves, and bottle the honey without heating or filtering it. That is the whole process.

Taste and texture

A deep amber honey with a warm, rounded sweetness and a long finish — the character mountain honey takes on from high-altitude wildflowers. Good in tea and on toast, stirred into warm milk, spooned over yoghurt or nuts, or taken on its own.

Why it may crystallise — and why that is a good sign

Raw honey often turns grainy or solid after a few weeks, especially in winter. This is natural crystallisation, and it is one of the clearest signs that honey has not been heated or over-processed. Honey that stays perfectly clear for years has usually been treated. To return crystallised honey to liquid, stand the jar in warm water and stir. Never microwave it — that destroys the enzymes you paid for.

How to store it

Keep the jar sealed at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not needed. Use a dry spoon each time; water is the only thing that spoils honey. Stored properly, pure honey keeps indefinitely.
