Pure Honey Price in Pakistan: What You Should Actually Pay per Kg

Honey prices in Pakistan run from a few hundred rupees a kilo to well over ten thousand. That spread is not simply branding — variety, origin and how honestly the jar was filled all move the number. Here is how to read a price.

Typical price bands by variety

• Acacia / Kikar / Palosa — commonly around Rs. 2,000 per kg. Light, mild, widely produced.
• Wildflower and mountain honey — roughly Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 3,500 per kg depending on region and altitude.
• Sidr / Beri — the premium tier. Genuine Sidr generally starts around Rs. 3,500 and runs to Rs. 5,000 and beyond, with rare grades far higher.

These are broad bands, not fixed rates. Harvest size, altitude and season all move them within a year.

Why the cheapest honey is cheap

A jar priced far below its variety band usually got there in one of a few ways: sugar or glucose syrup blended in to increase volume, sugar-fed bees rather than wild forage, or cheap honey relabelled as a premium variety. None of it is visible through glass, which is precisely why it is profitable.

The rule that holds up best: if a “Sidr” honey is priced like acacia, one of the two words on that label is doing something dishonest.

What we charge, and why

Our raw Hunza honey is Rs. 3,000 per kg, Rs. 1,800 for 500 g and Rs. 900 for 250 g, with free delivery anywhere in Pakistan.

That places it above mass-market acacia and below premium Sidr. It reflects what it is: single-origin mountain honey from our own bee farm, cold-extracted and bottled unfiltered, with nothing added. We are not the cheapest honey you can buy, and we would be suspicious of ourselves if we were.

Note that the per-gram price falls as the jar gets bigger — Rs. 3.60 per gram at 250 g against Rs. 3.00 at 1 kg. Raw honey keeps indefinitely when stored sealed and dry, so buying the larger jar costs you nothing in waste.

Things worth checking before you pay

• Does the seller name an origin? A specific valley or forest is harder to fake than “natural honey”.
• Is delivery charged separately? A low jar price plus heavy shipping is a common way to look cheaper than you are.
• Is cash on delivery offered? Sellers confident in the product tend to let you inspect before paying.
• Does it crystallise? Ask. Sellers who understand their own product will say yes and explain why.
